Hi! My name is Mrs. Amri and this is our Edublog class blog. All of the individual student blogs are connected through this main class blog. We have another blog (Mrs. Amri’s Second Grade Crew) where we publish our weekly posts and share our learning with the world. We are excited to begin using individual blogs as learning tool. Welcome to the world of blogging.

The “About Me” page should introduce the blogger to the readers. So, here is something about me:

I love being a teacher, and I have taught at both the high school and primary level. I studied German and English Literature and Language in college and went to graduate school in Germany.  I took a group of my high school students on a hike to the castle Neuschwanstein in Germany one year. It is as cool as it looks.

I was born and raised in Oregon, but have always been interested in learning about other cultures and have loved traveling to other countries. I traveled to Tanzania just last year with a group from Africa Bridge to visit Stafford’s sister schools. We also went on an amazing safari at the Ruaha National Park.

The trip was so inspiring. I am hoping that one day some of our Stafford families will be able to take such a trip to see the great work Stafford students are doing to support the children in the villages there.

I can speak German, some Farsi and am currently learning Chinese along with my students. I am married and have twin daughters. My family brings me so much happiness and I am so grateful for them. I love hiking, traveling, photography, music, poetry, pasta, chocolate and sharing a good cup of tea or coffee with family and friends.
